Holiday with dog 🌲🌴

The summer holidays are just around the corner and it's time to get out of the everyday life and go on holiday!
Or do you travel outside the peak season with your fur nose on holiday?

Here you can learn:

what you must pack on holiday with your dog and must not forget

what you have to consider when feeding on holiday, is a feed change necessary?

Organizational matters and questions you should ask yourself:

What should not be missing, whether you travel to the South or the North with your pet, is the pet passport. Important: take a look at the ID in good time. Find out in advance about the entry requirements for dogs in the country you want to go on holiday.

- Are the vaccinations still valid?
- Is the flea/tick protection still effective (beach holidays are nice, but sand fleas can also lurk here)?

- Do I need a certificate of rabies titer?

- Must a treatment of parasites be carried out before entry and be documented by the veterinarian?

- Does your dog have a microchip tag?

- Is there a general ban on entry for the breed of your dog?

- Do you have to cross the red zone at customs?

Take what?

- Pet ID, Tasso-stamp, dog-stamp
- experience and essential: the tow line
- Guide line

often there is a need for a line, so that your darling can still explore the world offers the tow line. This way you not only protect your dog from bad experiences, but also you from fines
Tip: can also be used as a clothesline out of need 😉

- Collar (better two)

- depending on the means of transport, safety for the car/ camper/ plane/ ferry: seat belt, dog cage, dog box

- Dog harness

- muzzle
it is better to have it with you (unexpectedly often comes: in some countries it is mandatory to muzzle regionally, but also in heavily frequented places or in public transport)

- Fecal bags

(Dog walking areas / beaches advertise with free litter bags, but do not always expect that these are always filled)

-  Feeding bag

- Dog blanket / dog baskets, favorite cuddly animal🧸

- Feeding bowl, water bowl, preventive water canister (e.g. on holiday with the camper)

- always have with you: water bottle and travel tank for excursions

- Care and hygiene:

Claw scissors, toothbrush / dog toothpaste, ear cleaner, dog brush, dog shampoo (tip: your dog likes to roll in carrion? then tomato juice helps to neutralize odor)

- First aid:

gloves, tick tongs, first aid kit, sunscreen, paw protection (dog shoes, baby socks, paw balm)

- Medicinal products:

Medications your dog needs daily, remedies for diarrhea

- Feed:

better too much than too little (your pet will make many trips, sweat, freeze, swim, walk - all this consumes a lot of energy, the more food the dog needs)

depending on the country of holiday:

Dog towel, bathrobe 🌴❄️
Life jacket 🌴❄️
Cooling mat 🌴
Shade dispenser (umbrella, beach tent, sun sail) 🌴
Toys: ball, dew, frisbee, feed dummy, water toys 🌴❄️
Dog sweater, raincoat 🌴❄️

Do I have to change the type of food?

Barbing on holiday can be complicated, but it doesn't have to be!

You will find details in the near future here :-)
