How do I measure my dog's neck circumference?
Use a flexible measuring tape, or alternatively a piece of string, to measure your dog's neck circumference. The tape measure or string should be placed loosely under the dog's throat to give an accurate measurement. Add about 2.5 to 5 cm (rule of thumb: 2 fingers wide) to the measured neck circumference to ensure that the collar fits comfortably and is not too tight.

Does my dog need a collar at all?
Every dog has breed-specific characteristics and traits. Safety first! In Germany and other countries it is obligatory to provide your dog with a tax tag. A collar is not only useful for this purpose, but also in the event that your pet goes outside without permission, it is useful if your dog carries an identification tag, e.g. a tasso tag or information about the owner.
A collar is also useful for training at dog school. If your dog is just learning to walk loosely on a leash, most dog trainers use the collar version. However, the training methods in dog schools are individual and you should always arrive at the dog school well equipped.
Why padding on the leash and collar?
Does your dog like to pull on the lead? And you have already burnt your hand? Then a padded leash is a good preventative measure.
Our collars are softly padded, they prevent painful skin irritations caused by friction, are comfortable and protect your dog's neck.
What care does a dog collar/leash from Hundeblickfang need?
The basic structure of our leashes and collars is strong, thick nylon webbing. It is robust and durable and can withstand extreme tensile force. All materials are water/weather resistant and washable. The webbing, as well as the padding made of Nano Softshell or Air Mesh, dries quickly. The collars/leashes can be cleaned of odours and dirt preferably by hand washing (e.g. with a toothbrush) or at 30 °C with colour detergent in the washing machine (preferably with a washing net). Please do not put the products in a dryer!
What can I do if my desired item is not available?
If an item is sold out, please contact us via our contact form. If you have a little patience, we will make your desired item as soon as the missing materials are available. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the materials needed for production are still available because they might be seasonal goods.
Do I get my money back if I don't like the item?
Send the item back to us immediately in its original packaging and in perfect condition. As soon as we have received the goods, we will refund the outstanding amount.
How long are the shipping times?
We ship the goods within 1-2 working days after receipt of the order. Our shipping service provider is Deutsche Post and DHL, so there are delivery times of 2-7 working days. For custom-made items, the time may be delayed by 2-3 days.
